Shared spaces: fostering a sense of community among residents

March 10, 2025 | News

At Villes & Villages, we believe that fostering connections among residents is essential to improving their daily lives. That’s why we design our developments to include shared spaces.

We aim to foster a sense of community, encourage daily interaction, and adapt to new practices, such as remote work.

SALÈVE PARC, fully equipped common areas

Each building at SALÈVE PARC in Archamps features a common room designed to foster a sense of community. In collaboration with a user-involvement team (AMU), we are engaging future residents in the design of these shared spaces. Participatory workshops will be held to determine the types of activities these rooms will host, in order to meet the specific needs of the residents.

CŒUR VILLAGE, community gardens

The CŒUR VILLAGE residential complex in Copponex emphasizes community spirit through its shared community gardens, offering residents the opportunity to garden together and build relationships. This project is part of a sustainable and community-focused initiative, allowing everyone to actively participate in maintaining these gardening spaces.

Four apartments available (1 one-bedroom, 1 two-bedroom, and 2 three-bedroom) in the CŒUR VILLAGE complex in Copponex.

LE PIXEL, rooftop terrace and discussion rooms

In Chambéry, LE PIXEL encourages residents to spend time together. The hallways feature “chat boxes”—inviting spaces designed for conversation—while the landscaped rooftop terrace offers the perfect spot for neighbors to relax. These welcoming spaces encourage interaction and strengthen bonds within the community.

LE CHROMATIK, coworking spaces

In Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, the LE CHROMATIK residence offers four coworking spaces designed to provide optimal comfort for residents working remotely. These spaces meet the new expectations associated with hybrid work. Thanks to their proximity and accessibility, they offer maximum flexibility and serve as a practical alternative to the traditional office. They are also ideal for students seeking a quiet environment to work in, promoting concentration, minimizing distractions, and encouraging collaborative work.

Through these projects, Villes & Villages to creating welcoming living spaces that foster a sense of community. Each initiative reflects our commitment to meeting residents’ expectations and improving their quality of life.
